FAQ
How Do I know what My Pole Level is?
Which Pole Class Should I Join?
We want everyone to feel confident and comfortable in the class they choose. Here’s a quick guide to help you decide where you’ll get the most out of your session:
Pole Beginners Class
This class is perfect if:
- You’re brand new to pole or still getting the hang of the basics.
- You’re working on foundational moves like spins, tricks, and simple transitions.
- You want a supportive environment to build strength, confidence, and technique.
Don’t worry—you don’t need any prior experience. We’ll guide you step by step!
Pole All Levels Class (Strictly Non-Beginners)
Our All Levels class is for students with prior pole experience. To attend, you must be able to confidently perform the following:
- Pole climb
- Invert and Gemini and Scorpio (no-hands)
- Pole sit
This class is not suitable for beginners, but for those who have already built a foundation and want to continue developing strength, flow, and tricks.
Still not sure? Feel free to ask us —we’re always happy to help guide you!
Do you take cash?
Unfortunately, we do not accept cash. Atria is a completely cashless studio, and all payments must be made through our booking system to secure your spot in class.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can cancel your class at least 12 hours before it starts.
If you do not cancel within this timeframe, your credit will be deducted and no refund will be issued.
What do I need to wear to a pole class?
Pole dancing heavily relies on the grip of your skin; therefore, the best outfit we would recommend is a pair of shorts matched with a sports bra or T-shirt. What's important is that you feel comfortable both physically and mentally.
Please also avoid using moisturizer up to 12 hours prior to your pole class! Moisturizer will cause your grip to be compromised and will effect your performance.
What do I need to wear to hoop/Straps class?
We recommend wearing comfortable, fitted clothing that allows you to move freely while providing some coverage and protection.
Recommended:
- Leggings or fitted training pants
- A fitted top or t-shirt
- Long sleeves are recommended, especially for beginners, as they can provide extra comfort and protection during certain skills
What do I need to wear to Exotic/Low Flow/Contemporary?
For Exotic Pole, wear clothing that allows you to move freely and feel comfortable exploring your movement.
Recommended:
- Shorts or pole shorts (recommended for grip and floorwork)
- A comfortable fitted top, sports bra, or crop top
- Knee pads (highly recommended for floorwork)
- Bare feet or heels depending on your preference
Heels are not required for your first class. If you decide to continue your Exotic journey, we recommend investing in a pair of pole heels.
Low Flow Pole involves floorwork, transitions, and movement around the base of the pole. Choose clothing that allows you to move comfortably while providing enough coverage and protection.
Recommended:
-Leggings or loose-fitting trousers
-Knee pads (recommended)
-Socks for smooth transitions and floorwork
-A comfortable fitted top
Contemporary Dance is all about freedom of movement, so choose clothing that allows you to move comfortably and express yourself.
Recommended:
- Leggings, dancewear, or comfortable fitted clothing
- T-shirts, fitted tops, or layers you can move easily in
- Barefoot, socks
What happens if I don’t show up to my class?
No-shows and late cancellations will result in the class credit being deducted. This policy helps ensure fairness for all members and allows others the opportunity to attend.
What happens if I arrive late?
We recommend arriving 5–10 minutes early. To find parking and for safety reasons. Late arrivals may not be able to participate once the warm-up is in place.
Can I bring someone to watch my class?
To maintain a focused and comfortable training environment, spectators are not permitted unless approved by Atria.
Can I train if I have an injury?
Please inform your instructor before class if you have any injuries, pain, or limitations. Your instructor may provide modifications depending on your situation.
Can I film/take photos during class?
We completely support using video to track progress and share your journey — it’s a great tool and part of training today. However, we need to be very mindful and respectful of others in the space.
Please make sure that if you are filming, you avoid capturing other people as much as possible, especially when it comes to posting content online.
Not everyone is comfortable being filmed or shared on social media, and consent is very important.
If you’re recording, kindly check your angles or ask those around you before posting anything that includes others.
